Alpha Kappa Pi Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society - 2025

Established in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in English language, literature, and writing. Dedicated to fostering literacy and all aspects of the discipline of English, and is the second largest member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).

Membership Dues include:
  • One time lifetime membership fee to International Organization
  • Honor cord for graduation
  • Lapel pin
  • 2025 Induction into PSU’s Sigma Tau Delta Chapter
  • Membership certificate

    Sigma Tau Delta is a prestigious international organization which rewards scholarship and high standards in English. The organization holds an international conference each year, publishes two journals of student work, and offers members-only scholarship and networking opportunities. Our campus chapter was a victim of the pandemic, but we reactivated in 2024, and we are looking forward to rebuilding and sustaining our chapter. In years past, students have raised money to attend academic conferences in cities like Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Portland (OR), Minneapolis, and St. Louis, MO.
